CHICAGO -- A man is dead after a laundry room in an apartment building caught fire in Rogers Park Monday morning, CFD said. CFD said firefighters were called to a fire at an apartment building near the 1900 block of West Fargo Avenue in Rogers Park around 2:24 a.m. Carpentersville teen missing for 1-week; family offering $1,000 reward They arrived within minutes and found an adult man, around 55 years-old deceased. Investigators determined the fire accidental, and no smoke alarms were heard.

For Texans, the month of December means peak cedar fever season as well.According to the Texas A&M Agrilife Extension Agency, from December through the end of February, mountain cedar trees produce dense amounts of pollen which can lead to allergy symptoms.Texas experts also indicate the season may have started earlier this year due to an especially hot fall.Dr. Ryan Prudoff with Family Emergency Room at Georgetown said allergy symptoms often begin mildly with itchy eyes, runny nose, and scratchy throat. The new process comes in light of the College of Saint Rose announcing it will close following the 2023-24 academic school year. For Saint Rose students with a 3.0 GPA or higher, they will not have to pay any application fees, will be given full consideration of merit scholarships, and have expedited credit reviewed to determine what Saint Rose classes will be accepted at Union. Gas prices continue to fall in Denver, dropping 13.5 cents per gallon over the last week and 51.5 cents per gallon over the last month, according to data from GasBuddy.While gas prices across the country have been decreasing for three months, Colorado has some of the fastest-falling gas prices in the country, according to a Monday report from AAA.The news couldn’t come at a better time for travelers, as AAA expects more than 115 million travelers to hit the roads during the holiday season, from Dec. 23 to Jan. 1, according to their Monday report.As of Monday morning, the average price per gallon in Denver sat at $2.60 and national prices averaged $3.11, according to a news release from GasBuddy.
