ST. LOUIS - A St. Louis woman who once ran a chop shop will spend several years behind bars and owes $40,000 in restitution. A federal judge sentenced Heather Marty, 29, to four and half years in prison on Friday. Marty pled guilty to running a chop shop earlier this year, holding onto stolen vehicles with the intention of disassembling them and selling parts. From Oct. 2021 to July 2022, St. Louis officers and detectives found a total of 12 stolen vehicles in or near the building. (KRON) -- A fire broke out at a Santa Rosa mobile home early morning on Friday, the Santa Rosa Fire Department said in a news release. The fire happened around 5:11 a.m. at a residence on 2303 Squire Lane where firefighters saw one home "completely on fire."Fire crews arrived and checked to see if anyone was still inside the residence, but all of the home's occupants had already exited. SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) -- California's commercial Dungeness crab seasons will be delayed this year, the California Department of Fish and Wildlife announced Friday. The delays are being enacted in order to protect whales from becoming entangled in crab traps.The opening of the commercial Dungeness crab fishing season will be delayed in Fishing Zones 3, 4, 5, and 6, an area of the state's coastline that stretches from the Sonoma/Mendocino County line to the U.S.A.-Mexico border. The delay is due to a large number of humpback whales in the area.
