PHOTOS: Muralgarten takes first steps in Glens Falls

GLENS FALLS, N.Y. (NEWS10) - Around the property of the Glens Falls Shirt Factory - a hub for local artists and craftspeople - things are even more artsy than usual. This week, six artists have been bringing new color and fresh ideas to a set of shipping containers. One sits by Rock Hill Bakehouse & Cafe, and two more on the other side of Curran Lane. Building owner Eric Unkauf is still in talks with the Glens Falls Planning Board over the full breadth of the project, which he and co-organizer Hannah Williams hope to one day involve 30 or more murals, as well as walking paths and development to better showcase them between Curran Lane and the Cooper Street parking lot. ERAP funds help housing crisis in NY

ALBANY, N.Y. (WTEN) -- Housing continues to be an issue here in New York. This past session, the legislature couldn’t not agree on a housing plan. A report from the comptroller's office looked into funds for the Emergency Rental Assistance Program. ERAP launched nationwide back in 2021 in response to economic effects from the pandemic. The program is federally and state funded. As of this past May, ERAP distributed $3.1 billion to 250,000 applicants across New York.  Bombers Burrito Bar in Albany appears to have closed 81% of that funding went to New York City residents. The program closed to new applications in January. Deputy Comptroller, Rahul Jain explained, who was eligible. "You have to make less than 80% of area median income. St. Louis police seek to ID man in child sex assault case

ST. LOUIS - Investigators with the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department are asking for the public's help in identifying and locating a man suspected of a child sex crime in a south city neighborhood.According to Sgt. Charles Wall, a police spokesman, the crime occurred July 23 in the St. Louis Hills neighborhood. Police did not provide a more specific hundred block. 19-year-old charged in Wood River killing

WOOD RIVER, Ill. - An Alton, Illinois, man has been charged in connection with the fatal shooting of a Wood River man earlier this week.According to Wood River Police Chief Brad Wells, the shooting happened shortly before 4:10 a.m. Monday in the 800 block of Tennyson Street.Police arrived at a single-family residence and found a man who lived there had been shot. Park Hills man found dead Monday near ditch in Potosi

POTOSI, Mo. - An investigation is underway after a Park Hills man was found dead near a ditch in Potosi. Police have identified Jacob A. Barton as the victim. Next of kin has been identified. Ellisville man accused of firing at car on I-64 The Potosi Police Department say Barton was found deceased near the area of State Highway 8 and Pearl Road. It's unclear what led up to his death, though an autopsy is pending. No suspect information is available at this time. Potosi police are handling the investigation with assistance from the Washington County Sheriff's Office. Teen identified as victim in deadly Madison, Illinois shooting

A man tied to a series of attacks against women in the Los Angeles area has been arrested, officials announced Wednesday.The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said more details will be released during a 3 p.m. news conference.Sergio Andrew Garcia, 21, was wanted in connection with at least six assaults in the L.A. area, officials previously said.Check back for updates on this developing story.
